Prayers flags originated with the Indian Buddhist Sutras (texts), which were written on cloth banners and transmitted to other regions of the world.Prayers actually predate Buddhism in Tibet. Traditionally, the flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion to all. These flags are blank for you to creatively share your own prayers with the world. The string of 10 6x8" flags is 5' long.

Our traditional prayer flags are made by Tibetans living in Nepal. The sets below come with a blank flag on each set so you can attach your own expressions of peace, prayers and wishes.
