She is a co-founder of Syracuse Cultural Workers publishers and distributors of socially-conscious artwork, and was the editor of their Women Artists Datebook, In Praise of the Muse, for three years. She has won awards for outstanding writing and photography from the New York Press Association, the National Organization for Women, the National Catholic Press Association, the National Federation of Press Women, the National Religious Press Association and the Syracuse Press Club.
