Anna Oneglia

For me, painting is a way to grapple with the magic and mystery of reality, a place to combine what is seen with what is felt. I am interested in transmuting the visible world through the lens of the inner self, forming a unique and personal view that is universal at the same time. Born in NYC, Anna lived and worked in Santa Cruz, CA for a few decades before moving to Humboldt County (CA). Seeking to make art that involves and inspires the community, she is especially interested in portraying powerful women with a vast variety of skin color and a joy in the natural world.
